PROGRAMME:
First Day: Ayacucho - City Tour
-
On arrival at the city of Ayacucho. Transfer to the hotel. City
Tours: Historical Centre of Colonial Huamanga, about 03 hours:
Unanue Museum. Santo Domingo Temples, the Cathedral, La Compañia
de Jesus Church, San Cristobal Church and Santa Teresa Monastery.
Ayacucho is well endowed with seignorial houses. Mansions of
Boza-Solis, Chacon, Castilla-Zamora. Acuchimay Viewing Platform,
and finally a visit to Barrio Santa Ana is a must. The district
is full of artesania handicrafts, galleries and workshops. Return
to the hotel. Accommodation
Second
Day : Archaeological Complex of Wari - Pampa of Ayacucho-The quinua
village

Breakfast. A visit to the Archaeological Complex of
Wari, located 22 Km. Here we will visit its museum,
the Main Temple of Vegachayoq Moqo, the subterranean canals
and tunnels of Monqachayoq and possible the royal tomb, funeral
chambers of Cheqo Wasi as well. It stands out The Tuna,
The Tara, The Molle and The
paty (an hallucinogenic ritual tree) Also worth a visit
is the historical Sanctuary of Pampa de Ayacucho, located at
the foot of Apu, mountain Condorcunca, at 3.3000 metres above
sea level. It was scenery and witness of the battle of Ayacucho
held in December 1824.

We visit "Villa of Quinua", a stunning picturesque
andean village surrounded by a lovely countryside, with full
vegetation, which houses are mainly built of adobe, with tiled
roof of two waters, and stony streets. Transfer to the hotel.

Third
Day : Cave of Pikimachay - Valley of Huanta - Luricocha

Breakfast. We visit The Cave of Pikimachay,
at about Km 25, road to Huanta. A natural rocky construction
of Volcano origin at the end of third and beginnings of the
fourth age. Then we go to the Valley of Huanta, located 2200
metres above the sea level. It is a colonial, republic city,
located in the valley "Emerald Of The Andes", with
warm climate, characterized because of its full vegetation,
stunning landscapes and picturesque sightseeings. It stands
out its church with a baroque style and the Convent of Redentoristas
with a gotic style. Outside we admire the snow mountain of Rasuhuillka,
its beautiful lagoons, stony forest and waterfalls. We also
visit the village of Luricocha, 5 minutes of Huanta, it stands
out because of its fruit spirit, specially avocados, lucuma,
elders, christmas apples and much more fruit as well. Typical
dishes of the region are offered on the farms. At convenient
time transfer to the hotel or bus station to return or to continue
your trip to the selected city.
