World Heritage
We offer this homage to Doctor Maria Reiche, the
lady of the Pampa, who studied the lines for over 50 years.
Maria Reiche's years of meticulous measurement and study of the
lines led her to the conclusion that they represented a huge astronomical
calendar used to track down the different solar phases. She also
said that the chalk from the desert plains is a magical and natural
preserver of these images.
There are a great many geometric figures as well as the anthropomorphic
and zoomorphic drawings, such as the humming bird, the spider
and the monkey among others. It is absolutely very difficult to
decipher the mystery of the lines but it is definitely impossible
not to be enchanted by it.

MYSTERIOUS NASCA LINES

a.m. Departure from Lima to the city of Ica.

Transfer
by tourist service to the city of Nasca, located at 420 km,
south of Lima.

11.00 am arrival at Ica. Reception at the station. Transfer
to Nasca by private service, during the journey we visit the
Museum Maria Reich.

Transfer
to the airport of Nasca to fly over the enigmatic Nasca lines.
You can have a stunning view of different figures, cut into
the stony desert in large number of lines, not only parallels
and geometrical figures but also designs. Among them you can
see a pointed ALBATROSS of 280 metres of length, a SPIDER that
measures 42 metres as others such us an enormous MONKEY, a WHALE,
a PELIKAN, an ALLIGATOR, a LIZARD, a SNAKE and so on.
